Elementary Teacher
I was born in Indio, California and I have lived in the Coachella Valley my entire life. My husband Lance and I have three children; Michael and Kristi who are both graduates of Desert Christian High School and Justin who currently attends DCHS. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. It seems that I spend a lot of my time supporting DCHS sporting events and cheering on Justin during his athletic endeavors.
I began my teaching career at Christian School of the Desert. While at CSOD I have taught kindergarten, second, fourth, and fifth grade. People often ask me which grade I prefer to teach. It’s simple, I love teaching. Each grade and class that I am in is my very favorite.
I believe that God’s Word is Truth. Teaching children would be incomplete and false without the Bible as my guide. My mission is to challenge my students academically and share God's love throughout my teaching. I strive to create an atmosphere in which children are encouraged to share their strengths and weaknesses as they help one another learn along the way. It is my belief that a strong academic foundation must be established in order to support success in a child’s educational future. I am blessed to have the unique opportunity. Each day He shows me ways of teaching His truth through everyday occurrences.
I love Christian Schools of the Desert. My co-workers are my extended family and I receive daily support from my brothers and sisters in Christ. It is extremely rewarding to watch my students throughout the years as they grow into young men and women of God. Some of my riches blessings have come from being a parent of CSOD children and to observe the benefits that my own children have received from having Christian teachers who love and care about them.
