Elementary Principal
I was born in Palm Springs and had the honor of being in the very first graduating class at College of the Desert in 1964. After receiving a Bachelor's Degree at Long Beach State, I started my career in 1967.
After teaching for several years in public schools with Los Angeles City School District, we moved back to the desert. It was during this time I accepted Christ as my Savior.
My own children were starting school when I heard about Christian Schools of the Desert. Transferring Ryan and Missy to CSOD was one of the best things we ever did for our children. I am very thankful that both of them were able to spend many years with Christian teachers ~ daily being taught the truth and hearing about God and His love for them while receiving an outstanding education. Another blessing was being able to have my grandchildren attend CSOD.
In 1995 I accepted the position as elementary principal. I have enjoyed being the principal as well, but still love visiting the classrooms and watching students learn. I am now beginning my 31st year at CSOD and continue to find it rewarding and fulfilling.
Being surrounded by people who love the Lord and want to serve Him is a terrific way to spend each day.
I enjoy spending my evenings with my husband Rob as we putter together in our yard taking care of our plants, desert tortoises, and Yorkie Terriers.
