Mrs. Scott was born in Palm Springs, California and grew up in the Coachella Valley. She lived in Bermuda Dunes for 21 years, and attended CSOD/DCHS for 13 years, graduating in 1995. Being a part of the founding family has given her a great love for the school. She, and her husband Kirk, both serve full-time at CSOD, and their sons Aidan, Brogan and Cashton attend the school. “We just love the school and have been so blessed by our extended school family. Our boys absolutely love our school, and we are very anxious to get our youngest son Daxson enrolled when he is old enough!” When the Scotts are not at school or a school event, they enjoy spending time with their boys and visiting with friends and family.

Mrs. Scott has spent many years at the school as a student, a part-time employee (during her college years) and now a full-time employee. Having experienced many aspects of CSOD, she is convinced that this is the greatest school in the Coachella Valley. “I believe that education is not whole unless it is centered on the Word of God. Christian school educators have a unique opportunity to teach the Truth and by doing so, help students gain knowledge and understanding rather than just acquire information.” Mrs. Scott coached the varsity volleyball team from 2001-2006 and returned again as head coach in 2010. She believes that apart from just teaching her players the game that her greater purpose as a coach is to mentor her players and help lead them into more meaningful relationships with each other and the Lord. “Although the girls learn many skills of the game, the more important lessons they will learn are life lessons – how to get along with each other, how to face adversity in a way the brings glory to God, how to sacrifice self for the team, etc. I hope and pray that the Lord will use me to influence them to seek Him in all things – that is why I coach, and why I work at this great school.

Mrs. Scott loves the family atmosphere at CSOD and continues to serve here because of the supportive community of co-workers, parents and students that surround her. “This is the happiest school on earth. It is an incredible place to work at, with a fun and loving environment, and CSOD offers incredible education to students of all ages. This is one experience you don’t want your kids or yourself to miss out on!”
