Director of Facilities
Instructor 6th grade agriculture
I was raised in Indio California the 3rd child of ten. My father was a county farm advisor in the valley for twenty years. Our family attended Trinity Baptist Church where I was Baptized as a child. I graduated from Indio High in 1970 and participated in track and cross country. I attended COD for 1 1/2 years before transfering to Cal Poly Pomona supporting myself by working at the traffic engineering division of City of Pomana for 5 years. I Received a degree in Physical educationin 1976 and then earned my California Teaching Certicicate. In 1977 I began teaching at CSOD in a variety of secondary classes. I later settled in 4th grade and taught for 22 years. I have been the director of facilities for the past 9 years. I enjoyed my full time teaching in the classroom ministering to students but have enjoyed this position outside the classroom as well. Teaching agriculture this year has been a blessing as I've had greater contact with the students that I also serve as Facilities Director. Their enthusiasum is inspiring. I have enjoyed watching CSOD grow from 40 students and am esxcited about planning the new campus that will continure to provide a quality Christian education in the valley for years to come.
