I grew up in small town (500 people) in Southern Illinois. My Father was a blue collar, union, railroad worker and my Mother was a stay at home Mom. We would be considered low income by today's standards. However, both my parents loved God and raised my borther and sisters and I in a Christian home where we never lacked any good thing. After obtaining my B.S. in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University, I entered the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam war era from 1969 to 1973. Upon my discharge from the military, I married my first and only wife, Sandy and we have been together for 35 years. For my occupation, I went into the field of College and University Business Administration and obtained the position of Budget Director at Central Washinginton University, Ellensburgh, Washington and later at San Jose State University, San Jose, Ca. I then made the transition to the field of Healthcare Management obtaining the positions of Senior Financial Analyst, Budget Officer, and Controller at hospitals in the Bay Area and Southern California. I have been at CSOD since 2006 and love both the school and my work. Being able to utilize my education, trainining, and experience in a Christian organization is the ultimate fulfillment of my lifelong plans and dreams. I am very thankful for all of my life experiences, but I feel that everything I have experienced in the past has prepared me for how God is using me now.
