Fourth Grade Teacher
Jonna Stiff was born in Spreckels, California, but later moved to Creston, Iowa. Mrs. Stiff stayed in Iowa and went to college at the University of Northern Iowa. Mrs. Stiff loves to teach (and learn) and loves to travel (and explore and discover). While in college God gave Mrs. Stiff many opportunities to work with children all around the world. She was a camp counselor at an International School in Taiwan, a pre-school teacher on a military base in Germany, and a student teacher at two International Schools in Honduras. Mrs. Stiff feels very blessed to have had opportunities to minister to children all around the world and looks forward to future opportunities on the mission field. Mrs. Stiff was married in May of 2008 to Nathan Stiff. Nathan's parents are missionaries in Ecuador and they love to visit them during the summers.
God gave Mrs. Stiff a desire to teach at a very young age. She has four younger brothers and they were her earliest students. Today, she contines to love to educate; especially using the truth of God's Word as the framework. Mrs. Stiff believes that Christian Schools of the Desert is a place where she can do just that. One of her goals as a teacher is to instill a desire in each of her students to be life long learners. In the classroom, she strives to provide an encouraging and challenging environment where her students can develop a solid academic foundation in reading, writing, and mathematics.
