Karen Sleeper

First Grade Teacher (1B)

 

• Bachelor of Arts in Consumer Science with minor in Business from CSU, Fresno. 1984.

 

I grew up the oldest of three children in the San Joaquin Valley of Northern California and graduated from Ripon High Schoool. I attended Modesto Junior College and CSU, Fresno where I was an Alpha Xi Delta and avid Bulldog sports fan. I graduated with a BA in Consumer Science and a minor in Business. After a successful career in Sales and Marketing in the food industry and time off to be a stay-at-home mom to Caroline, Austin and Andrew, I began teaching at CSOD. It has always been the desire of my heart to teach. When we moved to the Coachella Valley in 2003, the doors opened for me to substitute teach at CSOD and then accept a full time position as a First Grade Teacher in 1B. I love sharing the love of Jesus with the children and their families that are in my class each year. The strong community of CSOD is a blessing to me.
