Kindergarten Teacher

 

 

I was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada when I was 7 years old. I have been a preschool Sunday School teacher, camp counsellor, worked on various youth executives and in children's ministries for over 30 years. I was the Owner/ Director/ Teacher of a private pre-school for 7 years and taught kindergarten and grades 2-4 for 10 years in the public school system. My husband of 30 years and I both had the desire to move to a warmer climate and experience a slower pace of life. We have called Palm Springs our new second home for the past two years.

I am the proud mom of three grown children. My daughter, Naomi is a crew chief paramedic and now working on becoming a midwife. She recently got married to Jamie and they live in Calgary with thier dig, Winnie! My son, Justin is an autobody technician and artist and is getting married in July 2010 to his Joelle. They both reside in Calgary as well. My youngest son, Richard, has lived with us in LaQuinta for the past 2 years attending COD and on the golf team. This fall he will be at UCSD and continuing to pursue golf and business management.

I love working with young children and feel blessed to be on an amazing staff of Christian teachers. There is a family unity and loving and caring environment felt in this school. I feel priviledged to be His servant at CSOD.
