Education became my passion when my youngest daughter finished first grade, unable to read. I quit my job and went to second grade with her. After serving as a parent volunteer for a year, I was hired and served five years in the Resource Specialist Program at Antelope School in Littlerock, CA. In the fall of 1988, I began teaching fourth grade at Bethel Christian School in Lancaster, CA. I was promoted to Elementary Principal July 1, 1996, serving eight additional years.

After living and raising our three daughters in the Antelope Valley, my husband and I moved to the Coachella Valley. Our main reason for our relocation was to be closer to my ageing parents. While my father has gone to be with the LORD, it has been a blessing be near my mother and have my father in law live with us. We love spending time with our parents, children and grandchildren. Since moving to the desert the LORD has blessed me with a teaching position at CSOD. I love the fact that our school feels like a family and the high level of integrity I have observed in the CSOD leadership!
